What exists, what is verified, and what is still out of scope
This page describes commit 805f3d6 on protected main. It deliberately excludes unmerged feature branches and converts completion claims into links to accepted ADRs, gates, and release evidence.
Implemented feature sequence
| Feature | Delivered behavior | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| FE-01 complete | Human-authorized decision records, immutable corpus snapshots, provenance, and atomic local generation publication. | Gate evidence |
| FE-02 complete | Executable deduplication review with preview, explicit confirmation, correction, invalidation, and successor snapshots. | Gate evidence |
| FE-03 complete | Append-only workflow execution journal and deterministic state-machine replay bound to approved protocol and compiled workflow. | Gate evidence |
| FE-04 complete | Title/abstract screening decisions, independent review, conflict detection, adjudication, and invalidation. | Gate evidence |
| FE-05 complete | Local, no-network full-text intake, byte identity, extraction evidence, full-text decisions, verification, and replay. | Gate evidence |
| FE-06 complete | Deterministic reporting, review Bundle v2, Rapid Review governance, export ledger, and persisted verification commands. | Completion evidence |
| FE-07 complete | Structured Extraction, Appraisal, plan-only Synthesis, exact evidence locations, corrections, and amendment invalidation. | Completion evidence |
| FE-08 slices 1–4 | Windows-first product host, preview/confirm local commands, human deduplication decisions, and durable Screening authority readiness after restart. | Latest desktop evidence |
What the desktop can do on this baseline
- Open and verify a local Research Workspace through structured application services.
- Preview and confirm workspace initialization, local Search import, and deterministic analysis.
- Display a verified deduplication review queue and record an authorized human decision after exact-effect confirmation.
- Resolve whether the complete authority package required for title/abstract Screening is ready, stale, invalid, unavailable, or requires recovery.
Validation and delivery posture
The repository uses protected-main validation on Windows and Linux. The standard gate restores, builds in Release, verifies package reproducibility and local-source smoke, runs the test matrix, exercises CLI smoke paths, collects informational coverage, and verifies formatting. CodeQL and dependency review run independently.
Claims deliberately not made
No production release
Packages are validation-only and unpublished. There is no supported installer or production operating claim.
No connected platform
No database, API, cloud synchronization, tenant isolation, or multi-user collaboration is claimed.
No autonomous science
Automation and model outputs cannot become final scientific decisions by themselves.
No live retrieval
The protected baseline does not query scholarly providers, scrape, bypass paywalls, parse PDFs, or perform OCR.
No plugin runtime
Capability and manifest contracts exist; third-party execution and sandbox claims do not.
No broad compatibility
PHP classifications are case- and fixture-scoped. They are not a blanket compatibility promise.
